Giving
Reverend Hughes and his staff acknowledge the fact that God, through His Son Jesus Christ, supplies all the resources for this ministry through individual contributions. We recognize that we have a responsibility to be faithful stewards of the gifts that the Lord provides. Maintaining our integrity and openness in our financial practices is our primary concern. Therefore, we are committed to fulfilling the following standards:
David N. Hughes Ministries Inc subscribes to a written statement of faith. This statement clearly confirms our commitment to the evangelical Christian doctrine. DH ministries Inc. is recognized by the IRS as a 5013(c) nonprofit ministry.
We are governed by a Board of Directors. There are no relatives of Reverend David N. Hughes Sr. that serve on the Board of Directors or within the ministry. The Board of Directors establishes policies, approves our budgets, and reviews ministry accomplishments.
D.H. Ministries doesn't have an annual independent audit, so we do not have an audited financial statement. A CPA has complete access to D.H. Ministries financial records when they are completed and our annual form 990 for the IRS is filed.
We seek to keep overhead as low as possible, a statement of D.H. Ministries income and expenditures, including staff salaries and benefits, and other distributions of funds, is available to anyone on request. The only exception is donors individual giving records which are confidential the remainder of D.H. Ministries finances is open to anyone interested D.H. Ministries keeps careful and detailed financial records.
All money donated and directed towards identified ministries is distributed within 45 days of receipt. Smaller gifts are accumulated and sent in one bulk sum at the end of the month. To comply with federal regulations, the ultimate decision of designation to specific organizations must be left to D.H. Ministries, however we will do our best to honor the designated request when we send out contributions.
We use no high-pressure or manipulative fund-raising tactics. We appreciate each financial gift we receive, realizing it often represents sacrifice and heartfelt desire to invest in God's work. However, from time to time, we will make known any special needs of the ministry.
D.H. Ministries does not replace church ministries, but complements, strengthens, and facilitates them. Contributions to D.H. Ministries are needed and appreciated, but we ask that they be above and beyond ones regular, substantial giving to a Bible believing, Christ centered local church.
Although a great majority of our support comes from individual donor's, D.H. Ministries is actively involved in serving churches we welcome being included in church budgets. We take all contributions seriously and are committed to carefully and honorably carrying out our role as stewards.
· We clearly identify the purpose and programs that will be supported by your donations. Reverend Hughes and the Board of Directors ensure that donations are used for the purposes for which they were raised.
Contributions to David N. Hughes Ministries Inc. are tax deductible as allowed by law. Our receipts show the fair market value of goods and services received by the donor, which would help the donor determine the tax-deductible portion of their gifts.
While we endeavor to operate a debt-free ministry, we may borrow funds for capital expenditures from time to time, we promptly repay those loans. When we make an approved purchase, we pay the approved invoice within 30 days. We do not intend to use a vendor's money.
We respect our donor’s privacy, we do not sell or rent our mailing list to other groups. We maintain tight security on our lists of friends and supporters.
All credit card contributions are processed through PayPal. David N Hughes Ministries Inc. does not store any of our donor's financial information on its computers. PayPal is a reputable provider for our credit card processing needs, we require the provider to maintain your personal information in the strictest confidence.
